I keep looking at this pattern wondering if I should make it. I've had it for years...but what fabric would do it justice? (I'm all about the cummerbund lately.)

Midriffage

Imagine this with a panelled rather than gathered 'skirt'. In either dark red thick stretch or grey stretch denim (I am trying stash reduction thoughts here). Either would make a sassy travel coat.

Or even reversible...

Frocking frenzy!

Horrible sore throat kept me home from work today. Fortunately, I don't sew with my throat.

Musings: peplum blouse from vintage pattern posted previously. Kimono sleeves - fun to make, not good if you want to lift your arms above shoulder level. I got a bit panicky and did 1cm side seams, because I thought it would be too small, now I'm thinking it might have looked better that way. Sewing - the never ending learning experience.
